Gmail SMTP Setup

Google are now deprecating the use of the Less Secure Apps Setting on Gmail accounts.

To use Gmail with DVRs, NVRs and Cameras will now require the use of an app password generated by Google. The password can only be used on one device so a new password will need to be generated for each device that you want to use. In order to use this feature Google requires the account to have 2 step verification turned on.

Turning on 2 Step Verification.

1. In your browser go to https://myaccount.google.com/security You can also navigate to here through Settings > Privacy and security > Manage your Google Account > Security.

2. Under ‘Signing in to Google’ turn on 2 Step Verification and follow the instructions.
